Privacy policy

Local documents. Clear answers.

This policy covers Offline PDF Compressor for iPhone and iPad, developed by Mingyang Fan, and this official website. Website visits and PDF processing in the app are separate activities.

Effective date · 2026-11-01

01App data and tracking

The app runs its bundled compression libraries locally. It does not send us your PDFs, filenames, passwords or app usage. It needs no account and includes no advertising, tracking or network analytics SDKs.

02Files, settings and passwords

You grant file access through the system file picker, opening PDFs from another app, or dragging them into the app on iPad. The app stores imported copies, task records, compression results and temporary processing and export files in its own storage. Compression preferences are saved locally using UserDefaults.

Passwords for encrypted documents stay in memory only and are not written to task records. Enter them again after closing the app. Compressed and exported results keep the original encryption and permissions.

03Retention, cancellation and cleanup

Imported copies, task records and completed results persist between launches until you remove tasks or clear saved files in the app. Cancelling keeps the source copy and previous results while attempting to delete unfinished candidate files. After interruption, the app can recover saved results or valid checkpoints; it does not automatically continue every task.

Cleanup may fail and does not guarantee immediate or secure erasure. Exported files are unaffected by app cleanup, and saved settings remain. We cannot remotely access or delete files on your device.

04Document contents, sharing and backups

Compression is not anonymisation. Metadata, attachments and other existing document contents may remain in the result. Review documents before sharing. Compressing a digitally signed PDF removes signature fields from the result while preserving their visible appearance; the original is unchanged.

If you import from or export to iCloud Drive or another cloud folder, or send results through the system share sheet, your chosen service may transfer or synchronise files under your settings and its own policy. Operating-system backups may include app data. These activities are separate from local compression; the app itself does not perform cloud sync.

05This website and hosting

This website adds no app-provided analytics, advertising scripts, remote fonts, forms, cookies or browser-storage preferences. Download links lead to Apple’s App Store; email links open your mail application.

Cloudflare hosts and delivers this website and may process IP addresses, request headers and other connection information for delivery and security. This is separate from PDF processing in the app. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy linked below.

06Support email

If you choose to email verneauorane104@gmail.com, we receive your email address, message and any attachments you provide. They are used to respond and resolve your request, and retained only as needed for support or applicable legal obligations. Avoid sending confidential PDFs unless necessary. Use the same email address to request deletion of support correspondence.

07Other services and children’s privacy

iOS / iPadOS, Apple’s App Store, your mail provider and any cloud storage you choose have their own policies. The app integrates no third-party advertising or analytics services.

The app is a general-purpose document utility and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect children’s personal information. If a child provides personal information through support, contact us so we can address it and delete it as appropriate.

08Updates and contact

We will publish policy changes here and update the effective date. Material changes in data handling will be explained in the revised policy. All language versions describe the same practices. For privacy questions or requests, contact Mingyang Fan at verneauorane104@gmail.com.
